Hiking Elopement in the Mountains of North Idaho

Keira and Mark travelled all the way from Texas to elope here in Northern Idaho! They wanted to include their closest family for their ceremony and reception in Athol, Idaho which is my hometown! So it was really fun getting to show them what my home offered for their elopement. They started the day with getting ready at a gorgeous cabin, and then for their hike they chose a tough but rewarding hike to share vows and good drinks, along with playing a fun card game! This day had the perfect mix of adventure, alone time, family time, and relaxing activities as well. All in all this day offered them a fun adventure in the mountains for their hiking elopement adventure in North Idaho.

Getting Ready at Hayden Lake Cabin

Keira and Mark started their day at a gorgeous lake cabin in Hayden, Idaho. It offered them lake views while Keira got her hair done by Nicole Eskue and makeup done by Chantel Reeder. Keira's stunning dress was from Sunday's Bridal back in Texas, and Mark got a custom hat done perfect for their hike! The back deck was the place where Keira had a first look with her dad, and then with Mark right after. The forest setting of the rental suited the theme of their elopement so well!

Ceremony at Farragut State Park

Everyone loaded up in their cars to head to Farragut State Park for their ceremony! Their ceremony was in one of my favorite, easy access places without losing views of the mountains and the lake. Coeur 2 Coeur beautifully officiated their ceremony while their family stood by. We took some family photos here before we headed up to the trailhead!

Mountaintop Vows and Bridals

I led Keira and Mark up the mountain to the trailhead where we hiked up 1.5 miles in 90 degree July heat. Keira and Mark were such troopers for doing this in their wedding gear! Once we arrived at the top it was all so worth it to see 360 views of the mountains and Lake Pend Oreille in the distance. Here they shared some good drinks, played a fun card game, and said their private vows to each other!

Reception at Lone Mountain Farms & Brewery

Lone Mountain Farms and Brewery held Keira and Mark's after hike reception! They rejoined their families with yummy food and drinks, and enjoyed the shade as the day was cooling down. They got to rest and visit with their families talking about the hike we did together, and then they enjoyed a gorgeous and delicious cake with a super cool cake topper!
