Taylor and Jackson got married on a beautiful, sunny summer day up at Silver Mountain Resort. When choosing an elopement location, you can choose to go somewhere new, or to pick a location in a place you already love, which is what Taylor and Jackson did! This resort was always one of their favorite places to hang out with lots of good memories here already, so they chose it as their elopement location. We rode the gondola, chairlifts, shared good drinks, explored a lush trail, and more for their Silver Mountain Resort Elopement in Kellogg, Idaho. Let's take a closer look at this stunning day in the mountains!
Getting Ready Photos at Condo
The day started with me arriving at a super nice condo in the mountain village. Taylor had gotten her hair done in a gorgeous half up by Ashley Kennard, with her makeup done by Lauren Ashley Esthetics. Taylor picked out a gorgeous sparkly gown with floral detailing from Cloud Nine Bridal, and she wore adorable brown boots for their mountain adventure! You could see the village and the mountain right outside the windows of the condo, which made it the perfect place to get ready.
Also Taylor and Jackson both wore socks with dogs on them, how cute?!
First Look in Mountain Village
Jackson met Taylor down in the mountain village for their first look in a snazzy blue suit from Anderson & Co. I absolutely love it when my grooms still dress to the nines even for their rugged mountain elopement! They shared this sweet moment together before hopping on the gondola up to their ceremony site to meet their families!
Intimate Ceremony with Family
I always like to meet up with my couples before their big day - and when I met up with Taylor and Jackson, we met up at the resort to pick out the perfect ceremony spot for them! We decided on this location, a short walk down from where you get off the gondola so older family members were able to access it easily, and it had a breathtaking background of all the trees and mountains in the distance. The light also worked well here with the fence behind them as well as the sun.
Private Vows in the Mountains
While in the initial planning stages with Taylor, she mentioned they for sure wanted to have private vows with each other either before or after the ceremony. With the timeline we created together, we did the private vows after the ceremony so then from there we were able to and explore the chairlifts and take bridals! When I met up with them to scope out some places, we found this spot not too far from the ceremony site for their private vows, and it had endless views of the mountains in the background - such a perfect place to share this moment together! Taylor ordered custom vow books from Copper Cloud Creative on Etsy!
Chairlift Rides & Bridals
Since it was just me, Taylor, and Jackson the rest of the day, we had the freedom to just have some fun, relax, and ride some chair lifts and take some fun photos - which was easy to do with Taylor's bouquet Rose and Blossom, it was stunning! I also always like to give my bride and groom some space to breathe without a camera around, so they rode in the chairlift ahead of mine and it was super relaxing! We took in the sights and once we arrived at the bottom we popped some champagne to celebrate.
Forest Bridals in Wallace
To finish off the day, we drove to Wallace and hiked the Pulaski Tunnel Trail! This is a gorgeous yet historic trail, and it takes you through a lush forest and ferns. We walked across bridges, admired little creeks and tiny waterfalls and an adorable snail, and all the ferns we walked by. This was the perfect place to take some final photos before they headed off to dinner.

Working with Taylor + Jackson for their Silver Mountain Resort Elopement in Kellogg Idaho was such a fun experience! Idaho offers a variety of beauty and getting to explore the tops of mountains while also getting to wander through a lush forest all in the same day is just a taste of what Idaho can offer for your adventure elopement. Here's the review Taylor and Jackson left for me after their Idaho elopement:
"We had the pleasure or having Karlie photograph our elopement and we could not be happier! Her attention to detail and organization is beyond words! She was such a help throughout the entire process and was able to lift some weight off of our shoulders when it came to permit research and many other planning aspects. She even had bobby pins ready to go and crochet needles to help with those pesky wedding dress buttons! Words can't begin to describe how perfect our day was with her and I couldn't begin to imagine working with anyone else! She truly has found her gift and I can't wait to see what other wonderful work she creates in the future."
