When your couple comes all the way from Florida to elope in a winter wonderland, they couldn’t have picked a better place than McCall, Idaho!
McCall was the perfect location for this winter wonderland elopement! McCall had so much snow, it was so worth sinking thigh deep multiple times to document this day!
These guys came all the way from Florida to have a winter wonderland elopement with their family, and it couldn’t have been more fun! The night I arrived it snowed about a foot overnight, and there wasn’t any visibility of the mountains or the lake. We had to completely switch the timeline around but we made the day so much fun and it turned out so great!
We started the day at a super cute Airbnb and then drove to McCall for the ceremony. We had to pack down snow so they could stand for the ceremony! We took some amazing bridals under the snow covered trees and then we went and ate some pizza at Front Porch Pizza to finish the day. It was so great meeting this family and this day was just so much fun!

First off was a first look! We wanted to get closer to the trees but we literally couldn't get there because we would have sunk waist deep. So we found this spot that held us up the best and we still got some magical winter first look photos!
Look at those snowflakes!
The bride looked like a winter wonderland fairy! Look at those sleeves! So gorgeous. The pop of colors in the bouquet they made themselves made for such pretty photos.
Can't forget pictures with your daughters! Who says you can't have family if you elope!
The girls all wearing cute snow boots!
After that, we went looking for a spot for the ceremony! This couple was so laid back, they were so easy going and they just wanted to be married! But regardless we found a gorgeous spot! It snowed all night the previous night and it snowed all day during the elopement, so there wasn't any visibility of the lake or the mountains. But we made it work anyway! It very much looks like they got married in a snow globe!
Love this photo of them throwing snow! After they were married, I took the bride and groom around and we took some magical winter portraits under the snow covered trees!
Time for some snowshoe bridals! So much fun!
My couple wanted to incorporate some drinks because they met at a bar 6 years ago and he bought her a shot! The rest was history from there! So they shotgunned some beers!
Some more dreamy winter photos!
They rented some snowshoes from a local place in McCall! Look how cute! They all have snowshoes on.

Twirls under the trees. She found a photo on my instagram that looked very similar to this while we were planning everything and she loved it, so we recreated the photo!
A fun little bouquet toss! Can you see where the flowers are?
Scroll to see who caught it!
After being outside for awhile, we were all ready to warm up and eat! So we went to a cute little local pizza place called Front Porch Pizza to finish the day off! Definitely recommend them if you're in New Meadows!
This day was an absolute blast! Since they were from out of town, they stayed for about a week and went skiing, visited some hot springs, and explored the area. They watched their youngest go sledding and had a blast with it. This is such a great example of what elopements can be! So much fun, laid-back, no stress, include your family, and you get a mini vacation out of it.
If this sounds like something you want to do for your wedding day, don't hesitate to reach out! I would love to help you plan the wedding day of your dreams (literally)! And if this doesn't make you want to elope in the snow, I don't know what will, haha!
